Independence Day was a busy one for Mary and the Robnett campaign. Mary walked the 4th of July parades in Dupont and Steilacoom and greeted voters on the Ruston Way waterfront for Freedom Fair – and had a great time at all of them!
Robnett volunteers created a sea of blue in their “Mary for Prosecutor” t-shirts at the Dupont parade. The kids were dressed to impress in their star-spangled outfits along the parade route. The candy and Mary Robnett balloons earned some instant popularity with that crowd!
Steilacoom’s parade route made a big impression – over ten thousand people lined the route; waving flags and cheering. We heard so many greetings of support as we walked. The candy and balloons were again a hit, and parade goers loved the convertible covered in Mary’s campaign logos.
Events wrapped up at the Freedom Fair on Ruston Way. Volunteers manned the booth all day, and Mary picked up where they left off: Handing out literature, discussing the need for change in the Prosecutor’s Office, and passing out dog treats to the pups that stopped for water.
Thank you to the many volunteers who made Independence Day and allowed Mary to interact one-on-one with so many Pierce County residents.
